If you want to lose fat quickly you need to choose the right foods to eat every day. Your menu does not have to be dull, flavorless or boring. I recommend eating six times a day from a wide variety of fat burning foods. You'll find that there is enough of a variety to keep your interest in eating while avoiding the disappointment that often develops when we choose low-calorie low-fat diets.
The primary goal of a weight-loss program should actually be fat loss. The secret to shedding belly fat is to choose the correct foods in the correct quantities. If you are a vegetarian you'll need to address your protein requirements with more care. Soy products, such as tofu is a great way to get a good number of your amino acids in. Cottage cheese, rice and beans or mixed nuts will also help to improve your protein intake while on a quick fat loss diet. Whey protein isolate; a milk-based protein is actually even better than soy for increasing muscle density while fat loss dieting.
Although sugar substitutes are recommended while attempting a quick weight loss diet, you can also include most berries in your program. I tend to dissuade the eating of most fruits during a fat loss diet even though they're fiber rich.
The exceptions that I make are apples and grapefruits. Their nutritional or fat loss value far outweighs their sugar content. The antioxidants, vitamins and minerals found in berries make them a perfect addition to your breakfast shakes or desserts.
Mixed vegetables can easily be purchased in the frozen bags. Next to canned chicken and tuna, this is probably the best and most convenient source of nutrients money can buy. If you are constantly on the go, separate your frozen vegetables in convenient sandwich bags then pop them in the freezer. Just combine a can of tuna or chicken with your vegetable pack in the microwave when you're ready for lunch or dinner or mid afternoon snack while at the office or on the road. Top it off with a half a cup of berries for dessert and you're good to go.
Oatmeal is the best carbohydrate source on the planet (my personal opinion). It provides a wide variety of nutrients as well as fiber. When you're on your fat burning program this is the recommended grain to have. Throw a quarter cup of raw oats into your protein shake in the morning or have a half a cup of oatmeal with berries for breakfast along with your favorite protein and you will be well fortified for the rest of the day.
On a six meal a day diet program you should be able to have a wide variety of choices. The great thing about this format is how simple it is. Though you are limiting your food choices to a more natural selection, you can walk into any grocery store and find what you need.
These tips should get you burning fat and losing weight in a short time. You'll find that you'll begin to experience more energy and see quick results through this method of diet and exercise than all the expensive television products pills and powders.
