If you have bad credit, it can be very hard to find a loan, especially an unsecured one. Banks determine who can get a loan and who cannot by your credit score. Your credit score is used as a metric that determines how likely you are to repay the loan. Since you are more likely to default on the loan than someone with higher credit, the bank wants you to pay higher interest in return for taking more risk. These loans are also difficult to maintain because banks are only allowed to have a certain amount of risk on their books. This mean they need more low risk loans to balance out the high risk loans they make to people with bad credit.
If you have bad credit, the loan terms and interest on unsecured loans will be very high. If you do get approved for one of these loans, which is difficult to do, it will probably be for a small amount. The best option you have if you have bad credit is to us assets to get a secured loan. You can use your home in the form of a home equity loan or use your car as collateral in the case of logbook loans. It will allow to you get your loan easier and if you can make all your payments on time you will be able to improve your credit score to the point where you will be able to gain an unsecured loan on favorable terms.
While it may be hard to get high risk personal loans, it is not impossible to obtain financing from some sources if you need the money. There are also lots of different types of secured loans you can obtain, including logbook car loans and bad credit motorcycle loans
